Privacy Policy

Pawpad is at-home pet care for Karachi — grooming, food, treats, and litter delivered to your door. This policy explains what data we collect when you use the Pawpad app or website, how we use it, and who we share it with.

Who we are

Pawpad is operated by Ahsen Rajab in Karachi, Pakistan.

Data we collect

When you use Pawpad, we collect:

Account info

  • Your name, email address, and profile picture (via Google Sign-In or email)
  • A phone number you optionally add for delivery coordination

Pet info

  • Pet name, species (cat or dog), breed, age, weight, and any photos you add

Delivery info

  • Delivery addresses you save, including street address, neighborhood, and pinned location coordinates
  • These are stored so we can route groomers and delivery drivers to your door

Booking and subscription info

  • Bookings you make (services, dates, special instructions)
  • Subscription plans you choose (which food, brand, frequency)
  • Payment screenshots you upload for JazzCash, Easypaisa, or bank transfer verification

Device info

  • A device identifier and push notification token, so we can send you order updates
  • Your device model, OS version, and app version for crash diagnostics

Usage info

  • Anonymous usage patterns (which screens you view, which features you use) via Firebase, to improve the app

How we use your data

  • Service delivery — to fulfill your bookings and deliveries
  • Communication — to send order updates, receipts, and service notifications
  • Customer support — to help when you contact us
  • Improvement — to fix bugs, optimize the app, and add features
  • Legal compliance — to meet legal obligations in Pakistan

We do not sell your data. We do not show ads inside Pawpad.

Who we share data with

We share limited data with these third parties to provide the service:

  • Supabase — our backend database, hosted in Singapore. Stores your account, bookings, and subscription data.
  • Firebase (Google) — for push notifications and crash diagnostics. Receives your device push token and anonymous diagnostic data.
  • Google Maps — to geocode addresses and display them in the app. Sees the addresses you save.
  • Google Sign-In — for authentication. Sees your email when you sign in.
  • Resend — to send transactional email. Sees your email address and the content of the receipt we send.
  • Groomers and delivery drivers — see your name, delivery address, phone number, and pet info needed for the service. These are vetted contractors with CNIC verification.
  • Payment providers — JazzCash, Easypaisa, and banks see your payment information when you pay. Pawpad never stores your full bank or card details — only screenshots of payment receipts you upload for our manual verification.

We never share your data for advertising. We never sell your data.

How long we keep data

  • Account data — as long as your account is active
  • Bookings and orders — for 5 years after completion, for accounting and warranty
  • Payment screenshots — for 2 years
  • If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your data within 30 days, except where legal or financial records require us to keep it longer

Your rights

You can:

  • See what data we have on you — write to hello@pawpad.pk and we'll send a copy within 30 days
  • Correct anything wrong — update it in the app, or write to us
  • Delete your account — write to hello@pawpad.pk (in-app deletion coming soon)
  • Stop receiving notifications — turn off notifications for Pawpad in your iPhone or Android settings

Children

Pawpad is for adults responsible for their pets. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe we have, write to hello@pawpad.pk and we'll delete it.

Security

We use HTTPS for everything, encrypted database storage at Supabase, and standard security practices. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to protect your data.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the effective date above and notify you in the app or by email for material changes.
